We are also available to provide quality respite services during your stay in the greater New York area.
VOGT ABA Therapy has specific groups that focus on social behavior and teaching functional skills. The groups are comprised of 3-5 students and meet for 12 weeks. All of the skills taught utilize principles of Applied Behavior Analysis and incorporate generalization of skills to caregivers and as well as in other settings.
The community based social skills groups that are offered are:
- Community Outings: Students learn the skills necessary to shop in local stores and eat in local restaurants.
- Chit Chat: Groups that focus on social behavior while utilizing a game format.
- Safety First: Deficits in safety skills are identified and then plans are developed to address the skill deficits.
- Future Chefs: Students will learn to follow visual recipes to prepare several meals.
Assessments using the ABLLS, AFLS and VBMAPP

VOGT ABA Therapy conducts criterion-based assessments with students when they are admitted to our program. The goal of the assessment is to identify skill deficits and strengths. Based on the results of the assessments, individualized goals and curricula are developed.
The BCBA will conduct new assessments every 3-6 months.
Individualized curriculum and instruction to increase socially significant behaviors

We provide a personalized curriculum, based on AFLS, ABLLS, or VBMAPP assessments to teach self-management skills, self-help, daily livings, feeding programs, toileting programs, and academic literacy. Data are taken on target behaviors and graphs of progress are continually analyzed.
Public or Private School Consultation

VOGT ABA Therapy provides consultation services in both public and private schools. Services include supporting youths in their school setting, providing support in the home, providing support and recommendations to teachers, conducting FBA’s, as well as the development and implementation of behavior plans.
This service can be provided directly or via telehealth.
Community Based Instruction

VOGT ABA Therapy recognizes that once skills are acquired, they need to be generalized to other settings and individuals. The BCBA’s and RBT’s are available to provide support with youths in the community to promote generalization.
Functional Behavior Assessment

Functional Behavior Assessments are often conducted to identify problem behaviors, determine their function, and develop interventions to decrease the behaviors.
After a FBA has been conducted, often a Behavior Intervention Plan is developed and proposed to decrease target behaviors.
Parent Training

VOGT ABA Therapy provides parent training to families so they can implement behavioral tactics with their children. We understand that long lasting change is only possible with the education and support of all family members.
Parents are taught Applied Behavior Analysis principles, how to identify problem behaviors, how to take Antecedent Behavior Consequence data, and how to determine the function of the behavior. Parents are also guided on how to advocate for their children.
This service can be provided directly or via telehealth.
Supervision for Registered Behavior Technicians and prospective BCBA’s

Supervision is provided for individuals who are studying to become a Registered Behavior Technician or Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
This is based on the BACB guidelines.
